This trekking to Ganesh Himal involves passing through several villages and settlements along lots of natural and cultural exploration opportunity. Passing along valleys, ridges, landscapes along the spectacular views of Ganesh Himal range,Manaslu range, Mt. Manapathi and other Tibetan surrounding peaks indulges you with scenic delightful adventure.
We begin our Ganesh Himal Trekking after taking a drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati which is our starting point of our trek. Further we catch the trekking routes to Kispang, Gonga, Rupchet, Larkap, Pasang la, Somdang, Gatlang, Syabrubesi and finally drive back to Kathmandu. Highest point of this trip is Sing la pass at an altitude of 4100 meters above sea level offering magical panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Macchacpuchre, Manaslu, Annapurna and Langtang Himalayan range along other surrounding peaks. During our trekking journey, we will pass through beautiful rhododendron forests, challenging ascend and descend along an insight to local living of Tamang and Sherpa inhabitants. In the similar way, Jaisali Kunda Lake at high altitude offers striking views of Paldor Himal. Especially around Gatlang, an authentic lifestyle of Tamang people comes in front of us. Visit to various monasteries lets us acknowledge their culture and tradition even in better way. Eventually after staying our final night in a tented camp at Syabrubesi we drive back to Kathmandu announcing the end of delightful Ganesh Himal Trek.
Ganesh Himal Trekking is considered as easy to moderate camping trekking in Nepal. Therefore, high level of physical fitness is not required and it is recommended to join this trip with us as family adventure.

Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Welcome to Nepal. We will arrange airport pickup and drop at your hotel on your Kathmandu arrival date. Meet our office representative at airport terminals. In a short while, check in at your hotel, relax and later in day, enjoy free activities strolling around streets of Kathmandu. Day 02- Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
After having your early meal, meet our city tour guide and he will take your for visiting some of the UNESCO world heritage sites like Swayanbhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath. You will get rich insights into centuries old cultures, traditions, festivals, temples, palaces, and monasteries. With whole day sightseeing program, further continue your last minute shopping at touristic hub Thamel. Accomodation: Overnight at Hotel. Meals: Breakfast included.
Day 03: Kathmandu (1350m) drive to Betrawati 5hrs drive
Today we begin our Ganesh Himal Trek as we take 5 hours drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati near Trisuli river and setup a camp over there. It will be an exciting experience staying overnight at tented camp. Accommodation: tented camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner included.
Day 04: Betrawati - Kispang (1900m) 5hours Walk
We will then wake up early in the morning and get ready for walking the first day of our trek which will consists of mainly 3 to 4 hours of walk to arrive at small settlement called Sathdobaato. Then the trekking route of Ganesh Himal trek continues towards further 2 hours to arrive at our destination of the day called Kispang. At Kispang we setup our tented camp where we get an exclusive opportunity to enjoy beautiful natural aspects of this trek. Accommodation: Tented camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 05: Kispang - Gonga (2800m) 6-7 hours walk
Today will be quite a challenging day as we will start our Ganesh himal trekking adventure walking straight 3 hours uphill followed by gradual ascend along the refreshing forests. It will be an excellent opportunity to witness magical blooming rhododendron trees that blossoms exceptionally during the months of March, April and May. We will today make it up to Gonga where we will be staying overnight in a tented camp. Excellent views of nearby Himalayan peaks like Langtang Lirung and Gosaikunda is seen from here. Day 06: Gonga - Rupchet (3600m) 5 hours walk
Continuing our Ganesh Himal hiking journey, today it will be nearly a 5 hours of walk through beautiful rhododendron forests that takes us to a small village called Rupchet. We stay here around the alpine area today with great scenery of Langtang Himalayan range visible from our tent. Altitude may start to affect us, so we hike gradually taking necessary precautions to avoid altitude sickness. Accommodation: Tented camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 07: Rest day in Rupchet
We stay at Rupchet as our acclimatization day. There are couple of nearby exploring areas. We go for short hike up hill and return to our base for overnight stay. It helps our body to adapt with changing altitude. Accomodation: Tented Camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included
Day 08: Rupchet – (Sing La 4100m) - Larkap (3700m) 5-6 hours walk
It will be kind of highlight of our trip today as we pass through amazing Sing La pass located at an elevation of 4100m above sea level. Sing La offers great views of Snow capped mountains higher than 8000 meters that includes Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Machhacpuhre and other nearby peaks here and across the border. After getting indulged at Sing La pass, we descend for about an hour to arrive at Larkap. Accommodation: Tented camp, Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 09: Larkap - Pangsang La (3800m) approx 6 hours Walk
Today we will have a quite a tiresome ascend towards Pangsang La where the trail is somewhat at the same level with nearby rhododendron forest. We get a full day exciting views of mountains while making our way through the Larkap which is also the great day of trekking. Accommodation: Tented camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 10: Pangsang La – Somdang(3200m) approx 4-5 hours walk
With all the excitement in our heart, we head towards Pangsang La after having our breakfast. It will be mostly a downhill and flat surface walk. We walk through the rhododendron and pine forests with exciting views of Paldor and Ganesh himal. Walking for around 4 to 5 hours, we will arrive at Somdang which is a small Tamang village at 3200 meters elevation. Accommodation: Tented Camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 11: Rest day in Somdang(3200 m). Pangsang La Pass(3800m), Jaisali Kunda(4000m) 6 Hours Round Trip
It will be a second acclimatization day of our trip today at Somdang. If you are interested for sidewalks, then you can also go around the eastern side of Ganesh himal. And also an option to walk up to 4000 meters to view beautiful mountain lake called Jaisali Kunda with crystal clear views of Paldor peak from Lari mine. Today will be quite busy day with 6 to 7 hours walk uphill and downhill. Accommodation: Tented Camp, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 12: Somdang Trek to Gatlang (2500m) approx 6 hours walk
It will be a great morning waking up at fairly even trail from where we head up hill through Khurpe Bhanjyang saddle from where we can see the Gatlang downhill. After nearly 6 hours of trek, we finally arrive at Gatlang, a popular Tamang village where there is a holy lake and we get a chance to know more about local traditions and culture. Day 13: Gatlang –Syabrubesi(1600m) 5 Hours Walk
Today is the last day of our Ganesh Himal trekking from where we head towards a local monastery. Visiting this pilgrimage site gives us an insights into local Buddhism culture, art and architecture. We visit the mani walls, and nearby small chortens along the way. Continuing our walk through steep downhill trails, we arrive at the river that leads us to Syabrubesi. It will be nearly 5 hours of walk today. There are many tea houses available at Syabru, but we prefer to stay at our own tented camp at safe place. Day 14: Syabrubesi - Kathmandu approx 9 Hours drive
We take a drive towards Kathmandu today which finally concludes our amazing Ganesh Himal Trek. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, welcome to our farewell dinner at cultural restaurant in Kathmandu. Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
